Hey guys,

So I get where MCA, FLA and MOCP all come from but what I'm not sure is which numbers I should be using to show on my panel schedules.

Is it acceptacle to take 80% of MCA and use that as the panel schedule load since it has an extra 25% load added in or should I be using the whole MCA?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Use the MCA of the largest motor, or unit that has the largest motor. Use FLA for everything else.

If it is a single point of connection, so that you don't know the individual component ratings, I would use the MCA on the panel schedule.

I believe that that is almost the same method the manufacturer uses in order to come up with a MCA for the system. They take 125% of the FLA of the largest motor plus 100% of the FLA for all others, and that is the MCA they publish.
