I have a supplier who wants to supply a turn-key process control room. The 480Y/277V electrical service to the control room is derived from a 750KVA pad mount transformer. The secondary of the transformer terminates to a MCC equipped with a 1000A main breaker.
Single-line attached.
However, I would expect the service to terminate to a service panel with a main. branch breakers, grounded conductor, grounding electrode conductor, and grounding electrode.
Is there a code violation using the MCC in lieu of the service panel?
