Hello,

Does anyone know which ANSI/IEEE standards apply to a 480V MCC lineup? Thanks!

edit: I'm writing a spec for a job in the USA (I'm from Canada) and my CSA reference standards won't make much sense to the contractors in Arizona!

UL 845 and NEMA ICS 2-322 are the main specifications. Here is a guide explaining it.

Not sure if ANSI has a specific specification to MCCs, but there are a lot of ANSI specs that must be met WITHIN an MCC, i.e. ANSI C19, 49, 62 etc.

You'll find that the standards aren't that much different between the two countries. The easy way out is to add some general verbage in the spec to the effect that the vendor shall comply with applicable ANSI, IEEE, NEC (and anybody else you can think of) standards for low voltage motor control centers. The major players all do anyway. Then you have a little extra time after you get the spec out for bid to understand what those standards are.
