MDP main breaker yes or no

I am working on a remodel of a Club house, a new MDP is being installed, it feeds 8 panels and 2 elevators. (10- Breakers)
It is located in an electrical room and there is no means of disconnect in the room or on the new MDP panel.
Should there be a main breaker on MDP?

Is there a service disconnect anywhere up stream of this MDP?

On the 2 level at the meter is a disconnect.

It can not have more than 6 throws so better be disconnect before and better have seperated grounds and neutral if used

Then all is well, the MDP does not need a main breaker since there is a service disconnect

It doesn't need a main disconnect if the disconnect feeding it (upstream) is in the same building.

Make sure you comply with 230.72 (C) and 240.24 (B)(1). It is possible in a multiple occupancy building that you would need a main in that MDP.
