What are you covering the walls with? That box looks like it's over an inch past the face of the 2x4.

8 inches applies to a one gang box with no clamp, all multi-gang or other type of boxes need a clamp.

I think I would have turned a 2x4 sideways and stapled to that, or used stackers. Your tie wire looks more than a foot away from the box.
What is the volume on that box? From what I can see, I'm guessing you're going to be around 64in3 fill with devices.
