What kind of application?
I ran into something like this last year replacing the 2000W Tungsten filament lamp fixtures, with LED fixtures, mounted directly to 20' high RMC poles. Wound up mounting boxes on the RMC then the luminaires to the boxes. Was impossible (and not code) to make up the splices in the raceway, and there was no room in the fixture to do it
