Medium voltage switchgear configuration

I'm putting in a secondary feeder service switchgear and I'm debating the merits of having one versus two metering sections. If the latter, I won't have the single point of failure that one metering section represents.

I'm not sure it's worth the cost however. I'm wondering what's chances of this causing a problem. Any anedotal experieces and general inputs would be appreciated.

Need more info, what kind (Model, not just manufacturer) of gear, what configuration, what tyoe of metering, trip units, etc....
