We have this panel with RCBO, MCCB combined. Due to potential damage to RCBO, we decided to perform insulation test while all the wires has not been tied up to DB yet. But if there is a P-E, N-E contact, we wont be able to detect it if we will not be connecting the ground wire of each receptacle to DB first to ground all the system.
Questions:
is there any potential damage to DB if only the grounding wire is tied in (all the other wires not tied)?
or is there any much more reliable insulation test sequence i am not aware of?
i cannot convince the client engineer that 500v megger wont affect the DB.
(this is a running production with other tools connected to DB, we cant have any accidental shutdown)
