I have never used a megger before. However, I have two sitting in front of me. Greenlee #5778 which has a needle and crank and a Fluke 1507.
If I had a fire in the area of several branch circuits and wanted to test each AC Cable how would I go about conducting the megger test?
Should I disconnect the 120 Volt circuit from the breaker and the neutal bar and hook the test leads to each conductor and test the circuit using 250 seclector switch.
or
Should I hook one lead to the system ground and the other lead to the conductor being tested and apply voltage.
Thanks
