MEGGER TESTING OF WIRES

has anybody encountered megger testing that involved using a nail driven in the end of the wires as connection points?

As a practical matter, I don't have an issue with it. It probably makes for a good connection.

Do you mean driving the nail into the end of the wire as in parallel to the strands? What's the purpose, conductor too big to get a clamp on it?

You can test them before you strip them this way.

Used a screw driver, a punch, a screw, so would a nail work? HECK YES.
