Which tester do you feel is best for megging? Been looking and cant decide.

Megging what, in particular? What is the operating voltage of the stuff you normally work on?

We have a couple of the new Fluke megger/DVMs, they work great, so easy to use you may not trust over the handcrank type. This meter is designed to be carried by an electrician who normally would not have a megger. About $350 if I recall.

I usually work with less than 600v.

Work on what? Do you do transformer or motor testing on 480V motors? Do you test hundreds of breakers or cables a week? Do you do anything with MV equipment?

I like AVO the best. Battery powered of course.
