If it is 90*f @ the motor/pump leads BUT motors is 25' away down in a well and water is about 55* f and your meg reading is 5 meggs and you do a tempature compinsation on the reading . what would the reading be on the motor then ?

Typically you want to disconnect the motor leads but in this case that sounds hard. Good question, I would use 55F, maybe 60F to compensate. You correct motors to 40C per the attached table.
