I wired a gutted house for a remodel. After I was through, the builders found some NM with the sheath missing. I can't figure how that happened because there was no bunched up sheathing like would happen if it got hung and ripped. I think it came off the spool that way.
I taped up the cables and put corrugated loom that is used for automobile wiring around them and taped again. So I think those parts are good but don't know if there is more bad places that are hidden.
Anyway, I think/feel like I need to "Meg" the circuits. I was wondering if I check with a Megger would I need to take the joints apart at the boxes? I planned on taking the EGCs and neutrals loose at the panel but wouldn't sure about at the boxes. There are no devices installed yet.
