... we are now just adopting the 2008

I had to steal that quote and wonder!

Sometimes it gets to me that active members have to endure dual cycles and all the questions and conversations... I can only ponder how you'll deal with it. :)

Just a reminder for all you still playing along at the house!

The host of this forum has in his newsletters, two or more postings that cover 2008 and now 2011 significant changes.

Please also keep in mind ones State, Regional, or other subject matter requirements that might pertain to ones job and how it will be used by your AHJ!

Well that look's like mine.:)

It's a pain, sometimes I look at answers here and think where did they come up with that and then go, ooohhh.

Right now I'm still inspecting and plan checking jobs under the 2005, am inspecting and planchecking jobs under the 2008 and have already started learning the 2011.

Can make for an interesting day when you write a correction notice on one job and then go next door and pass the same thing, because they're being built under different code cycles.

And at some point during this change, whether it's 2005 to 2008 or 2008 to 2011 every inspector runs into the same thing.
