I have run across a problem that has been quite annoying and i was hoping to gain some insight here. On a DC drive we have controlling a conveyor that needs to reverse on a regular basis, there are times that the deceleration ramp will start, then in the middle of the ramp will instead coast to a stop. This problem only happens when the drive is given a reference of 0 RPM from the program. Any other reference speed given the drive will ramp correctly on accel and decel. Has anyone else come across anything similar?

thanks.

my guess is that when the zero speed reference is being given the drive enable is also being taken away. not an unusual program bug.

for instance, someone may have turned on the drive enable when the speed reference is not zero, and when it is zero turning the drive enable off.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will look into this and give an update. Thanks.
