Metal Hubs and PVC Terminal Adapters

Are PVC male terminal adapters permitted to be used with metal hubs? I seem to remember something about the hubs being listed for use only with metal nipples or conduit.

I've heard that, including here, I've done it, and it's never been an issue.

UL listing of hubs is for MRS, IMC. Very common to use PVC male adapters, as there is no other alternative.

I would think a PVC MA would seal even better than a metal conduit or connector.

I have done it as well, but if you want to be compliant, use a rigid close nipple and a female adapter
