Meter Can Transfer Switch

I have recently heard from a friend of a friend that Reliance manufactures a transfer switch that installs in a meter can. In NC it is apparently installed by the utility company. However, I can't find find any info. Does anyone know anything about this switch??

I don't know about Reliance, but GenerLink makes such a product. Go to www.generlink.com for more information. You'll undoubtedly need to check with the local utility before using any such device. Some utilities will provide the adapter for a fee of $7-$8/month.
