A customer has a 240V single phase meter/main lug panel that has room for (6) 2-pole main breakers on it's bus. The load side of the meter can connects directly to a bus, not a main breaker. There are no labels on the panel and the existing breakers are (2) 100A Sq-D HL breakers & (1) 100A Eaton BR breaker. There is room for (3) more 2-pole breakers, and I am looking to add an 80A CB here for solar backfeed. Since the PV AC output is landing on the main lug bus, this should be considered a line side connection, following 705.11 of the 2020 NEC. Does anyone have any experience with this type of situation?
