we have an existing 480v 3ph service on multitenant gutter outdoors. The meter disconnect sets first then the meter. a service disconnect is required after the meter. There is no room for service disconnect to sit next to meter, its limited space. The room the service will feed is 50' to 60' away. can i place service disconnect exterior wall that far away from service?? I know its required to sit as close as possible to meter or other side of wall next to meter. just curious of other options.

There is no limit in the NEC as to the length of the service conductors on the exterior of the building. Some utilities have limits.

so you are saying between meter can and service disconnect there is no length requirement ? the meter sits above wire gutter and the actual service disconnect would site about 50' to 60' away. Same side same area just remotely.

As long as the conductors stay outside of the building, the NEC does not care how long the are.
There may be local rules and/or utility rules that limit the length, but the NEC itself does not.

I understand. can you provide address in NEC that explains that ? for future reference.
