Hello, I did an inspection this morning of a service on a commercial building and found that the meter socket was installed above a bulkhead, I was told that the location was picked by a POCO Eng.
I called the POCO and asked if they approved of having it in that location and also mentioned that I felt that it restricted access to the meter. I was told that it should not be in that location.
In support of the POCO Eng.the bulkhead doors had not been installed yet and the opening was covered by a sheet of plywood, so there is a chance that he was not aware of the bulkhead being there.
Am I correct in assuming that 90.2(B)(5)a relieves the local inspector of meter socket locations and places the responsibility on the POCO?
