I am drawing a blank on the meter that you can use that will measure the length of wire when it is installed? can any one help me..

TDR = Time Domain Reflectometer. It sends a pulse down the wire and keeps track of the microseconds it takes for it to be reflected back to the source. knowing the speed of the pulse, it calculates the distance traveled.

Get an OTDR: Optical Time Domain Refloctometer.

I've never heard of one that will do both. But, I'm no expert on them either.
