We are to install a new MCC inside a building. The 3ph, 200A., 480 VAC service on the outside consists of a disconnect and a meter can with a 3" nipple between them. The 480 volt service (underground) conductors from the transformer enter the bottom of the disconnect and are routed through the 3" nipple to the line side of the meter. The conductors on the load side of the meter are routed back through the 3" nipple to the line side of the disconnect. The conductors from the load side of the disconnect are then routed back through the 3" nipple and out the back of the meter base through a 2" nipple into the existing MCC. I cannot find it in the NEC, but does this not violate something (maybe art.110?)
