Trying to find most affordable system to monitor monthly energy consumption. I have a 100a sub-panel feeding two more 100a sub panels, each of those panels are for individual apartments.
Ideally I’d like a wifi system that goes inside the panel and has CT’s for each panel, versus something like E-mon, which you have to mount a meter outside the panel.
I’m aware of that electric utilities sometimes do not allow billing tenants. In this case, the electricity is included in the rent and the monitoring is just to make sure over the long-term that the rent is adjusted properly, and to make sure tenants are not using portable space heaters, which are not allowed according to rental agreement.
