Metric trade size hubs

I need to replace a pushbutton station for classified location on an Italian printing press. I am considering an Appleton EDS Contender single gang 2device station. Where can I get information on Metric Thread sizes? For example we know that 3/4 conduit has 3/4 NPS threads. What thread size would metric designator 21 have? Are the European standards equivalent to our NEC Metric Designators? I will need to buy an adapter to go from the NPS to Metric thread. I most likely will have to schedual a shut down to take apart the existing station and take measurements to determine what I have in order to purchase what I need. Thank You!

ah, a real can of worms ... the metric designator 21 is just a term for 3/4 pipe as I've seen it. This usually has little or nothing to do with the thread in the box.

If you can decipher literature in German, see the web page from Maryland Metrics, http://mdmetric.com/agro/pdf/agrocatatex.pdf, for lots of products. In metric hydraulics, we see "G thread" which is BSPP. We see "R thread" which is BSPT. We see hard metric which will be something like M32x1.5 (32mm od, 1.5mm thread pitch. All classified location work I've been involved with involving European machinery has been done here in the USA, and we use US fittings and appropriate seals in the cast aluminum (NEMA 6) boxes. The designator 21 would tell me to specify 3/4 NPT.
