Mnbvc, one place is 314.15(A), then look at 100, locations damp and wet.

Gserve, a meyers hub is a weather proof fitting rated NEMA 2 through 12. Originally the company was pretty much, if not all, female, but I think they have been bought out by Cooper.

Another good place to use a threaded boss or coupling (HUB) is on the supply side of service entrance equipment. This way, you do not have to install a bonding jumper per 250.92(B).

bphgravity-I'm not so sure about using the Meyer for service entrance to avoid assured bonding.
Its my understanding that the Meyers hub is listed as a "Fitting", and can't be used where assured bonding is required. Also the Meyers hub is avaiable with a bonding screw on the lock ring (special order of course)

If a connector or a threaded conduit entered the top of a rain tight box in a area subject to water saturation a meyers hub would be a solution.

i have used them before on service equipment when entering the top of a outdoor panel/box. bonding should be done because it has a rubber o ring seperating the fitting to the equipment. i run a bead of rtv or silicone around the point where the conduit enters the myers hub. water will find a way if it rains hard enough. make sure that they are tight too. otherwise... water & electricity, bad.
