So when you land in a pull box or any other ferrrous enclosure, that is what you use? If so how is it installed onto the ferrous enclosure? Cut out the area and weld the plate?:dunce::?

you can't weld brass to steel.

silver solder is possible, and there is a
method to tig braze it with special rod,
but it's not likely to happen on a jobsite.

edit:
there is a SF-6 rod that lets you braze
pretty well with just a propane torch.
the problem is getting the temp up
where it needs to be on a piece of plate
brass, and sheet metal.

Ok so what happens when MI enter a fire pump enclosure, ATS or any other steel enclosure? How is the brass plate applied?

Usually just bolted in place.
