Anyone ever do an overall( labor and material) cost analysis between MI cable and 2 hour MC Cable e.g. Vitalink given the same size load? Thanks.

I haven't but having installed both installing MI is horrible. If there is a cost savings in the materials I would bet that the labor involved to install it would wipe out those savings and then some. If your labor costs are high then the more expensive Vitalink is still probably the way to go unless you have very short runs.

MI is definitely higher labor.

How can you even have an option of MI vs MC?

If it's for a generator, you would have to have locked rotor rated switching ahead of the MC feeder.....and those are not cheap

Both offer 2 hour protection. Why not? Vitalink is the 2 hour MC cable.
