Hi all, newby from UK and first post - well, we all have to start somewhere.

I have a microwave that has suddenly packed up, when opened I see a transformer that I suspect is a voltage stabiliser - I am a machanical engineer with a love of electrics, so appreciate all aspects safety involved with electrically powered appliances.

The transformer has the markings: WXEI41-320 stamped on the top bridge of the transformer case. The transformer has only 2 wires, a mains 240v in, and a continuation wire coming out - which is why I suspect it is only a stabiliser type transformer.

Can someone identify this transformer and possibly suggest where I might find a replacemant?

Cheers

George

P/S, there are some really interesting topics on this forum, pity I didn't 'find' it ages ago.
