All the books in the world will not equal a good mentor, someone that had been down the road before, and knows where all the bumps, ruts, and road blocks are, and the best way to move on. Some retired business professionals, offer help to small business and start ups.

I have never read this book---but i was lucky enough to be about 30 minutes from mike Holt's office--when he worked out of an industrial warehouse! Mike was a mentor to me and my business--i watched Mike grow and he watched us grow!! Mike Holt was actually part of my business, even came to a jobsite office for a week teaching both myself and my foremen points on his estimating program. I always sent my men to his classes if they wanted any special skills. So i can't recommend his book, but i sure recommend Mike ! Unlike so many other instructors---Mike has been in our shoes !!!

well i dont have any business experience or anything at all like that but i do have the book and like it. i suppose if you dont know anything you can get the book. but theres also better business books out there. i love mike holt products and its pretty good

for the money I was expecting a little more. ok a lot more. To sum the book up.. Set a goal like managing your business or just your personal funds. Create an outline of 20 things that you could manage then break that down into 20 steps on how you would manage that item. Review it everyday and work at creating a system that makes it easier.
