I have Mike's Electrical NEC Exam Preparation book and I have a couple of questions. On page 485, question 22. How do you know that the two multioutlet assemblies are different? The way I read the question, you have a 50' and 10' assembly that are both simultaneously used. The next question is on page 486, question 32. The question is asking about 17 "dedicated" 20A tent sites, but in the answer book they use the 2400VA rating, not the 600VA for dedicated. Why is that? One last question...I've taken the Wisconsin Masters twice now. Both times I felt like I was well prepared. Both times I missed. Any ideas on how better to prepare? Thanks for your time.

Re: Mike Holt's guide

I had the same book and I found that it was not adaquate for studying purposes for the Master's Exam; maybe for a journeyman exam but not the master's. I wanted something with questions, as well as the detailed solutions to those questions, that might simulate what one would find on the exam. I turned to Tom Henry's, Calculations for the electrical exam as well as Stallcup's, Generator, transformer, motor and compressor book. Best of luck to you.

Marsbar -

You're right. WI is a hard one. I used Mike's books & tapes, Tom Henry's book, an old sample exam that Experior put out a few years back, and basically anything I could get my hands on. I find that taking sample tests works far better for me than just reading or listening. I take the practice exams over and over until I get all of the questions right.

Good luck.
