Glad I'm not the only one with a slipping memory. The old joke that I've forgotten more than you will ever know is getting more true and less funny.I bought the 3/4 when my fabulous old 3/4 GB pipe bender finally gave up the ghost. The internal threading where the handle goes in needed re-tapping, it smoothed out completely and the handle just fell out. My bad, I was using it to support the 1,000 ft spools of 12-2 on my spool jacks.
The Milwaukee bender handle seems kinda lightweight and cheap , but so far it bends the pipe well. What I liked was the booklet that comes with the bender. A fold out guide that I took to the UPS store and got it laminated. My memory is starting to slip. It's a handy guide.
Other than my actual Benfield 1/2" bender I agree with you. I like a nice iron bender shoe. Aluminum just doesn't feel right to me.I have not tried them. I am very good at conduit bending and kinda a snob about my benders. I like Ideal the best.

I still have a set of 1/2" and 3/4" BenfieldsI have not tried them. I am very good at conduit bending and kinda a snob about my benders. I like Ideal the best.
So true

Yea, sometimes I think that too, but I work for a Toyota supplier, best living I've ever had. I drive a Tundra, my wife a Subaru. The only American vehicle I ever had was a Dodge Omni. It was a real lemon. Wife once had a Cavalier, lots of trouble with it.I’ll bet my lunch money that Milwaukee is made in China. Ideal hand benders are made in the U.S.
I prefer to buy my tools made by my fellow Americans whenever possible.

My personal favorite bender is Greenlee. I like the degree marker point so I don't have to do as many bends in the air. But I don't have any Greenlee's. When I was buying my 1/2 and 3/4, Ideal was the only one in our local houses. When I needed a 1 inch, a Klein was the most available. Sadly, I only used it once and have never been able to sell it.

It might. A lot of Toyota parts are made here and some vehicles assembled here. The Tundra is a 2000 model and still going strong. Been banged up a few times but no serious issues outside of that. The 4 wheel drive comes in handy on the rare occasions I need it.I’d bet the Tundra has more US content than your Omni did.
The Tundra V6 is manufactured in Huntsville AL. The truck is assembled in San Antonio TexasIt might. A lot of Toyota parts are made here and some vehicles assembled here.
