Hello,
Can i get someone to look over the question below and let me know if I did the calculation correctly?

Thanks

3 3phase motors FLC 8a each
What is the min- conductor amp with 120/240 single to 3 phase converter
running 3 - 3 phase motors with a full load current of 8 amps each

8a +8a +8a = 24a x 1.732 = 41.5
41.5a x 1.25 = 51.9 % for #6 AWG

Assuming 240V, 1ph in, and 240V, 3ph out...
24*2.5=60A,

or not less than 125% of the rated converter input current.

Thanks for the reply
you are right, it is single to 3 phase converter
can I ask were you get the multiplyer of 2.5 from?

also would I multiply all 3 motors by 125%
or just one motor by 125%

thanks
