Does the NEC state what the required seperation between the electrical conduit and telephone conduit installed in a trench is ????????????

There isn't a limitation in the NEC. The utility may have their own requirement however.

The last 1 I did was about 1/2 mile long. Seperation was 3 inches to the side and 12 inches deeper. PE speced . Power conduit was 36 to the top and the data conduit 24 to top. 6 inch warning tape 12 under grade. The power conduit conductors have OCP. This is not 300.5, this is overkill. The whole run is under a golf course. Can you picture the divots this engineer must take?

Just found this post - and it ties in to the post I put up last night. Does anyone know the reasoning for the separation? Sorry I didn't see this one last night, or I would not have put the new one up. Mine is a little more specific, but I think it might tie together - just want to understand the why - it's the inquisitive side of me.
