min size for subpanel

ahj tells me today that my sub panel for a outdoor barbeque addition (2 rc and 4 gfi protected outlets) must be a min of 60 amps because it is a commercial location(mobile home park club house) states art 225. i dont see anything in 225 or am i missing something? all input appreciated thanks
 
Try 225.39(D). Or would sub articles (A) or (B) apply? I don't know what you mean by "2rc," so I can't tell how many circuits you are talking about.

Keep in mind that it is not the subpanel that has to have a minimum rating. It is the disconnecting means. If, for example, your total load was 25 amps, you could have a fused disconnect switch as the disconnecting means, have the switch rated at 60 amps, but have 30 amp fuses, and from there go to a 30 amp rated MLO breaker panel.
 
I agree with Charlie but it will be a cold day in you know where before you get most inspectors to agree with that.

If there are only 2 circuits at the building then 225.39(B) would permit the disconnecting means to be rated at 30 amps.

Also if the sub-panel at the building is rated at least 60 amps then you comply with 225.39(D). The breaker protecting the feeder is not the disconnect that 225.39 is talking about.
