Can you splice the communication wire on a A/C mini split system we have junction between condenser and fan coil A/C mechanic claiming splices in wre are interfering with communication between units.
That makes sense but the cable in question here is usually not shielded. Is usually a TC rated cable that the manufacturers claim is only cable they will accept should warranty issues come up. Nothing special about it when it comes to ability to reject interference, in fact isn't even twisted conductors in said cable, just flat parallel conductors just like you'd have with NM or UF cable.Splicing shielded cables can compromise their ability to reject EMI.
