I am currently in charge of wiring a handful of mini-split air conditioners in a multi-family building.
My question pertains specifically to the compressor side of the system. It is currently mounted approx. 15’ in the air and I am wondering if there is anything in the code I am missing in regards to the disconnect location. 440.14 says that the location needs to be readily accessible, however this is not very practical considering the location of the compressor.
Is there any code I am missing that could be used to permit me to mount the disconnect up high next to the unit?
Any help/guidance is appreciated. Thank you.
