Mini-split Roof Condenser- Disconnect Mounting Location

I have a disconnect switch for a simple Mini-Split condenser on the roof.

Is it acceptable practice to mount the disconnect right on the condenser itself or should this be mounted not directly on the condenser?

It's acceptable but whether or not it's advisable is another question. Mini-Split condensers are usually small with little room to put one. And if you do you have to be careful of what's inside that you may hit with the screws.

section 440.14 gives the allowed locations for a disconnect for AC equipment, with an important IN to 110.26

You can not mount it anywhere that impedes access.
