Starting a remodel where the homeowner wants to lower his existing panel to below kitchen counter height so he can eliminate the wall the panel is in to open up his kitchen area. The counter top will not extend past the knee wall that remains where the panel is. There will still be well over 30 " from side to side and way more than 36" in front of the panel. The top of the panel will be about 34 inches above the floor and the bottom will be about 10 inches above the floor. Is there anything in the code that prohibits this? ( We're still on 2008 code)
