This is new to me. On a rooftop package a/c unit I have a 80.7 MCA. On the label is (Minimum Unit Disconnect) 55. Is this a minimum disconnect rating ?
Something is not correct. Is there supplemental heat in this unit or is it straight a/c? MCA should be minimum circuit ampacity but the minimum disconnect should be rated 115% (I think) of the full load amps. Often the max ocpd is 175% of the full load amps. This is new to me. Yep 10kw on a 240V I usually run a 60 amp circuit. I have hooked up some units that need two circuits so check it out.Yeah. It has a 10k. That's where the minimum unit disconnect column was. Maybe that just for the heat stips
