It's a 5000sqft carwash. Customer provides the gear and lighting. Anyone have any experience with mister car washes. Any thing to look out for and any help with approximate manhours to complete.

Any other similar facilities in the area? The pricing may be in public records as part of the permit info.

My boss is always wanting to expand electrical work opportunities. After going over the drawing for a 5ksqft project. I find carwash a bit intimidating. The service, mcc panel, lighting and outlets are the easy part. I always say most EC have there niche and stick to it. I'm not intimidated by the work only the unknowns. Im.not looking for pricing or cost. I'm asking for help as in what should I be asking GC when trying to submit a bid.

I know you PM'd me about some car wash stuff but I was thinking more along the lines of a truck wash. I just looked up online what this is and maybe I can help. I had a GC reach out to me last year with several of these same type washes, and their typical E-budget was $400k. The wash vendor would install/mount all of the wash components and make the connections between each motor/sensor etc to the adjacent control panel. The electrician would provide the main service and route power to each control panel. The lighting fixtures were installed by the electrician. That's the type of questions you need to clarify is who will install and connect what. The electrician was also responsible for routing power across the site to the vacuums and any site lighting, as well as the entry payment kiosks.

Owner furnished gear and fixtures makes it a high labor risk unless you markup the estimated value of the fix/gear as if you were supplying

I'm not intimidated. These carwashes are pretty new

Yes. The question I sent you was for a fuel and carwash similar to your local fuel station carwash.. This carwash is a stand alone. I'm good with the rest of project. It's the carwash items that have me questioning. Lots of motors and controls and you are right who's connecting what.
