I wired a food trailer (a mobile kitchen) a couple of days ago, with a 120/240v panel and a real Ansul system. I didn't wire the panel or the rest of the trailer, I only wired in the hood exhaust fan and lights, the microswitches, and a pair of RIBs for appliance receptacles.
The customer says it works perfectly on land power or a smaller portable generator (which is reassuring since we had no power to test it at the time), but the generator he needs for full kitchen capacity has GFCI protection, and it's tripping.when he plugs the power cord in.
I'm waiting for him to respond with if he measures continuity between the neutral and ground at the plug or in the panel, and whether it trips even with all breakers off. If it still does, is there anything other than an inadvertently-grounded neutral that can cause this?
