Can i run non metallic conduit under a mobile home for the main feeder? There is no hole dug and Mobile home is already in place. I would have to fasten the conduit to the under side of the trailer. Will this pass code? Thanks

Re: Moble Homes

Why not just run it on top of ground and anchor it to what ever pillars are near or maybe poor some sacrete over it every 10 feet to hold it in place

Re: Moble Homes

550.15 (H) Under-Chassis Wiring (Exposed to Weather). Where outdoor or under-chassis line-voltage (120 volts, nominal, or higher) wiring is exposed to moisture or physical damage, it shall be protected by rigid metal conduit or intermediate metal conduit. The conductors shall be suitable for wet locations.

Re: Moble Homes

Contact the local inspection department because the rules for mobile homes are different in many areas. Around here you can use pvc ( burried until it's under the home ) and then attached to the underside. But the home must be tied down and the skirting must be in place to prevent physical damage ( dogs and children getting under the home ). If they allow homes without the skirting then their rules may be more strict. Some jurisdictions here have a pamphlet made up showing what they require. Also you don't pass the electrical inspection here until the home is tied down and skirted ( no power until everything is complete ).
