Some components may not be allowed in certain usages. The Health Care regulations for example have changed some since 1996 and your product might not meet the newer codes, you would have to have an inspector take a look at what you have and make a ruling, as it would be impossible to give a blanket answer without looking at the components and the material and process of manufaturing.
