Has there ever been a write up, on someone that successfully tested a moon suit ? (not planned )

I have never seen an article in any trade publication, or internet site that had such a story. Most of the accident stories involve death & life long injury.

Maybe there are none.

Perhaps because wearing the suit all but prevents one from doing useful work, so there is not much opportunity to create an arc flash.

While it is more difficult to work in an arc flash suit, it is not really that difficult as compared to a Level A HazMat suit.

Many years ago, when I led a different life, my company sent me to take one of those OSHA-required courses on handling Haz-Mat events. This was, IIRC, in July. One of the final exercises was to dress the entire group in Level A suits and play four downs of touch football. I never got so hot so quick in my entire life. I realized then and there that whatever the grunts got paid to do site remediation was almost certainly not worth it.

I played football once while in the Army, but in MOPP4 (full level chemical/biological protective gear including a gas mask) Restricted breathing because of the gas mask was the biggest issue there. Judging passes with the mask on was a challenge for both the passer and receiver.

You don't see them because if there was no injury it is not a reportable accident. I have first hand experience with nomex coveralls and face shield saving my butt. I also had a client a few years back that had his life saved my a 40 cal suit (Can't share the photos due to legal reasons).
