Maybe the ladder is there not to climb, but to keep someone from walking out the door? :D

Um, no. :D

I don't have a picture, but I did see this "in use"

Do you see the nice warp in it as well? You could string that ladder and shoot an arrow.

I really think your getting to the bottom of the barrel. There was quite a few that just appeared to be vacation shots.

But still funny... ;)

I never tire of seeing the guy with the plastic wrapped around his head. :D

A handful of those appear to be Habitat for Humanity or some other volunteer type of work. They way they were standing on the roof looks just like all the other professional roofers I've seen.

As for the pictures from the "developing world," should we have expected something different? ;)

I just don't see why everyone has to give me so much crap for wearing a bag over my head... I don't do it very often.

I hear ya....that's why I prefer paper with the eye holes cut out so I can stay anonymous.

That one that looks like Habitat for Humanity bugs me. At least the others, you can sort of say these people are "professional tradesman" (used very loosely) responsible for their own well being, but it's pretty much understood that for a lot of Habitat you're just dealing with altruistic desk-jockeys.

So lets put a whole bunch of them on a roof with a 30 degree pitch and no toe-boards, clustered up in a tight little group of nail guns and hammers. And the folks that aren't on the roof? Let's have them play around a metal scaffold right next to the un-guarded temporary service drop.

I mean, come on, at least somebody could be making an attempt at safety.

Ironically, I'll bet these "unprofessional" tradespeople on bamboo scaffolds and non-toeboarded roofs suffer less accidents than pros working on standards-enforced projects...

99% of safety is a mindset, not a product sporting an OSHA-approved sticker.

As for this guy:

What is he doing wrong?

Is that 'calibre' or 'calorie'?
As I recall, that was covered in a 1972 Consumer Reports test: Polyvinylidene chloride is equally effective at 65 calories as 65 calibre.

This is not carl. I snuck in here and used his computer.

Well that's obvious, aren't you supposed to bend at the knees?
