210.19 is a good start, then go on to 210.23, 210.24, as suggested by others.
There seem to be limits to this approach ( cord attached equipment).
Are the units 'fixed' in place, or moveable/portable?

If it were me, I would pass this by the local code enforcement.
I have done this several times, and have gotten good 'local code' directives.
