Did anybody do what they wanted to do today, or were they a slave to the wife for the day?

My stepson and I got my wife some super soft and warm socks made from bamboo fibers at a local hippie store. She loves them.

And I called my mom and told her Happy Mother's Day and talked for a while. She hates holidays so she always gets mad if I send her stuff.

I would like to add something electrically related so this thread remains open.

647.5 Three-Phase Systems.
Where 3-phase power is supplied, a separately derived 6-phase ?wye? system with 60 volts to ground installed under this article shall be configured as three separately derived 120-volt single-phase systems having a combined total of no more than six disconnects.

I put in 10 hours (doing electrical work) today. So now it's time to call Mom on a telephone that uses electricity. She will know someone is calling because my father is half-deaf, and I installed a phone-ringing strobe light (that uses electricity!) for him.

No rest on Mother's Day

No rest on Mother's Day

My wife (before I met her) had her service panel melting away, finally gave way on Mother's Day. She called her electrician. Before he got there her Dad had replaced fuses and they were holding. But upon the Electrician getting there, he saw the fuse holders melting. He told my wife a new service was needed.

My wife said fine, but it was Mother's day and she didn't want to hold him up on his plans for the day. He said no way that the service was a fire hazard and changed it out. I'm sure he was worried what her Dad would do to keep the lights on.

Thanks to all of you who do a great job.

Does that mean I can repost the picture of the moderators sitting around in their pool with the power strip for the electric grill in the center of the pool floating on a couple flip flops, and you'll leave it on 'till midnight?

My mother's son, who does electric stuff, would like that.

We made a dinner for my mother and mother in law. Gave them flowers and hugs. My son and my brother were there. It was actually pretty nice.

Not sure about this, but I think I may have been the last guy to view this video.

I watched it, and wanted to show my wife , and it wouldn't play again... said it had been pulled... sounded like maybe a copyright thing .... couldn't get it to work again...

I break everything I touch.

It was funny though.
