Has anyone ever heard of a wall mounted motion sensor with integrale A/B switching provisions? I have never seen such a thing and I don?t understand how it would work or be beneficial for that matter.

Nick: Are you referring to two stages of light intensity? If so, yes I have two of them in use now.

Wireless security systems use motion sensors with a/b switch to change channels.

Re: Motion sensors

Actually they are called out for A and B switching in offices on a 277V lighting system. (California's Title 24) I have put many motion sensors in but they are just a hot and a switch leg. I guess if the sensor had a manual switch so that someone could set it so that either switch leg A or switch leg B or both come on it would work. But Why? There are better ways to control room lighting and comply with title 24. (BTW A room controlled by a single motion sensor that controls all the lights complies)

Re: Motion sensors

Yes Nick we do this a lot here in MA and RI.

One way is a two pole wall switch like this one, but available from other manufacturers.

Or we ceiling mount a single pole sensor the cuts the feed to a two gang switch box on the wall.
