Is there a goo way of remembering how to do motor calculations for a test? Since you pretty much have to remember on how you do the problem, without notes, I'm wondering what a good way to remember this by.

I struggle with motor calcualtions. Tried doing one tonight, and referred to my notes. I still came up with the wrong answer, so not sure what I am doing wrong or right at this moment. Will re-visit here in a while.

Any input is welcome. I look forward on trying to remember this concept since I know it is on the test.

Have you checked ["Mike's Free Stuff"] ?

EC&M has some good stuff, also:

Here's one from the Engineering Toolbox:

This is as basic as it gets:

Step 1: Find the FLC of motor using Article 430 tables.

Step 2: Find motor running overload protection per 430.32

Step 3: Find branch circuit conductor size per 430.22

Step 4: Find branch circuit overcurrent protection per 430.52

Step 5: Find motor feeder conductor size per 430.24

Step 6: Find feeder overcurrent protection per 430.62
