Can I have a MCCB in a panel that doubles as the disconnect/Branch Circuit OCPD for a motor if within sight? I do not want to buy a CB plus another MCCB for the area where the motor/motor starter is as they are only 10' apart.

Yes, of course. Under the right circumstances it doesn't even need to be within sight, but if it is, so much the better.
